FINAL FOUR DAYS OF THE 2009 SIMA SURFING AMERICA USA CHAMPIONSHIPS PRESENTED BY VERIZON WIRELESS WEBCAST LIVE

San Juan Capistrano, Calif. (Aug 27, 2009) – Catch the LIVE webcast of the 2009 SIMA Surfing America USA Championships presented by Verizon Wireless where a new tropical swell has hit the shoreline at the South Side of the Huntington Beach Pier in sunny Southern California.

The event began Tuesday, August 25th and runs through Sunday, August 30th. Contenders consist of pre-qualified athletes from the top amateur organizations in the United States including the Eastern Surfing Association (ESA), Hawaii Surfing Association (HSA), National Scholastic Surfing Association (NSSA), Texas Gulf Surfing Association (TGSA), and the Western Surfing Association (WSA).

The last four days of the event, Thursday August 27th- Sunday, August 30th, will be shot with High Definition cameras and webcast live at surfingamericalive.com and surfingamerica.org. The webcast will feature premier streaming capabilities, providing an optimal viewing experience for thousands of viewers.


Watch LIVE as the 2010 PacSun USA Surf Team is selected at the end of Sunday’s Under 18 Boys, Under 16 Boys and Under 18 Girls division Finals. The team will compete for the United States in the 2010 Quiksilver/ISA World Junior Surfing Championships in New Zealand this January.

The four-day webcast will include coverage of all junior shortboard divisions beginning with Round 1 and Boys Under 18 (ISA). Sunday’s coverage will include all Division Semi-Finals, Finals, and award presentation.
